RUSNANO and AFK Sistema signed an investment agreement to create a mass production of integrated circuits based on Nanoelectronics technologies with design rules of 90 nm to 200 mm diameter wafers. Signing of the document took place during the visit of the Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin at the enterprise NIIME and Micron, based in Zelenograd.
investment in the project being implemented in the form of contributions to the registered capital to establish joint ventures, co-sponsors on a parity basis will perform GC RUSNANO and OAO NIIME and Micron. Total funding of the project will amount to 16.5 billion rubles. Under the agreement, investment GC RUSNANO reach 6.5 billion rubles. Sitronics is to invest in the project equal share in the form of high-tech equipment the main executor of the project - the plant Micron. In the long-term project also aims to attract debt financing.
The project will be implemented on a production basis using the infrastructure of the plant Micron (part of Sitronics, whose largest shareholder is Sistema). Technology partner of the joint project, the Leader of the European semiconductor industry - the company STMicroelectronics. The development project will create a technological system, which includes design centers, research organizations, companies involved in material science of microelectronics, said in a statement posted on the site RUSNANO.
Products, which will be issued in the new production, aimed at developing mass markets such as digital television, the GLONASS /GPS navigation systems, industrial automation, automotive electronics and smart card with a high degree of protection.
