Constitutional Court declared illegal the decision of the Verkhovna Rada to limit the payment of pensions to citizens of Ukraine, left for permanent residence in one of the countries with which it is not signed an international treaty. The court ordered the parliament to pass a law providing moral and material compensation to victims. MPs also admitted that before the presidential election to fulfill the court's decision will not succeed.
Constitutional Court (CC) issued a decision dated 7 October on Treatment of the Supreme Court, challenging the norms of paragraph 2 of Part 1 of Art. 49 and the second sentence of Art. 51 of the Law On Compulsory State Pension Insurance. Law, adopted in 2003, restricted the rights of Ukrainian citizens who have migrated abroad for permanent residence.
