Moscow and Minsk to guarantee the stability of oil transit

Russia and Belarus guarantee stable conditions for oil transit through the territory of R1000ussia and Belarus, said in a joint statement, Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin and First Vice-Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko, signed in Moscow on Wednesday.

"Russian and Belarusian sides reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of international energy security and ensure stable conditions for oil transit through the territory of Russia and the Republic of Belarus", - stressed in the document.

In a joint statement said that on Wednesday also signed a protocol amending the Agreement between the Government of Russia and Government of the Republic of Belarus on the measures to settle trade and economic cooperation in the export of petroleum and petroleum products from January 12, 2007, which achieved of mutual interest agreement for the supply and transportation of oil through Russia"s territory of the Republic of Belarus ".

"Implementation of the signed protocol provides a stable supply of oil to European consumers", - stressed in the document.

In a joint statement said that the parties are based on existing economic relations between Russia and the Republic of Belarus, the existing bilateral agreements, as well as on the decisions taken by the presidents of both countries. "

vice-premiers assured that agreements have been made to "ensure the further development of integration relations in the framework of the Union State and all-round cooperation in the field of energy".
