Retail turnover of retail trade and restaurant economy of Ukraine in June fell by 20.9% compared to June 2008 and the first half of 2009 - by 19.7% over the same period in 2008, told the State Committee of Statistics.
At the same time, according to Goskomstat, the decline of retail trade turnover of retail trade and restaurant economy of Ukraine in January-May 2009 amounted to 19,5%.
Retail turnover for the six months of this year amounted to 103.88 billion UAH. However, in June it reached 18.28 billion UAH.

previously reported that in May, retail trade turnover amounted to 16.2 billion UAH, April 17.88 billion UAH, March - 18.46 billion UAH, February - 16.6 billion UAH and January - UAH 16.35 billion.
State Statistics Committee said that in January-June 2008, turnover increased by 29.7% compared with January-June 2007.
