Citizens, not forgotten how a sober view of things, kept the habit of critically evaluate the words and acts, look to the future with honest sadness. Surprisingly, many of those who have a long and firmly decided on a choice, do not bind the specific expectations of the possible triumph of his protege. What can we say about those who still meditated. And those in the country before worrying a lot.

In these elections were rarely room for faith, hope, love, hate, devotion, passion. Their place was firmly taken pity, habit, inertia, fatigue, indifference, sadness. Some are waiting for a belated revenge Yanukovych, others - well-deserved outcome Yushchenko, the third - the resounding failure of Tymoshenko. Malicious desire to get even with the last replaces the usual in such cases, the joyful anticipation of the future.

Why do they still remain the leaders of the electoral sympathies? The answer is simpler than it seems. Secondly, for the last five years the country has changed the structure of the electorate. Some do not believe anyone in anything. Others still do not believe that the country is so bad.

Let me explain. Fate too long benefited the Ukraine. The safety margin, a favorable geopolitical position, the temporary weakness of Russia, the periodic interest in the West, well for us prevailing world market conditions, the ingenuity of entrepreneurs and the patience of citizens - these and many other objective and subjective factors that allow us to exist. And even the very least to develop. No thanks, but in spite. Be adjusted on the fly, waning, but still functioning politico-economic model enabled the country to live. In spite of everything. On foreign policy uncertainty, the angularity of the power system, a leaky legislation. At the bureaucratic arbitrariness, flawed judicial system, predatory taxation. On bad roads, worn-out communications, medieval health, education and poverty-stricken, the corrupt army. The problems with freedom of speech and amorphous civil society. At the regional divisions and the lack of national unity.

With each passing election we thought it hopes, but from campaign to campaign, those hopes were weak. Old problems are usually not solved, annually generating new ones. Aggressiveness of Moscow, Brussels, irritation and indifference in Washington have been the consequence. The world financial crisis - catalyst. The cause of all evils to be found in Kiev. In the reckless greed of those in power of all colors and grades. In the ruthless clan wars. In the endless non-aggression pact, applications which are lists of issues, deferred to the best of times and made the brackets. Today, it risks being left out all of the state. For in the yard - the most that neither is on the worst of times.

election winner will get disoriented ideologically, politically split, energy-dependent, financially helpless country. I hope that the future victor will at least slow its decline, it seems futile. Neither Tymoshenko nor Yanukovych (not to mention Yushchenko) have not been able not merely to make a clear plan to save the state, and even to recognize the scale of disaster. They are not able to identify clear priorities and find ways to pick up artists. From their programs, declarations and promises emanates a distinct smell of decay. For new people and new ideas, places, alas, not found in any of the camps. If the crisis can be overcome trivial higher standards or infinite borrowing money ...

Today"s

Ukraine needs a cold, sharp sharpened scalpel, directed the firm and skilful hand. But we offer a crudely Fomka. Or dull the blade, which can be messy to write up carelessly written.

They are wrong. Politicians who think that will cost half measures. Voters, confident that everything will be, as always. This error can result in turmoil. Perhaps a year or two. When the depleted stocks of subcutaneous rapidly impoverished voters. And when the run out of credibility, a prominent politician.

Who knows, perhaps a consequence of this upheaval will be a long-awaited emergence of the very national idea, which we never were honored to create for nearly two decades.

From this perspective, this election is not only possible, but probably, and should be considered as another step towards the truth. For true statehood. The true sovereignty. The true patriotism. To realize the true historic mission.

This ingenious fate would have it, so we went and through such a test. When the rapidly impoverished country in a fast-stratified society, the poor convulsively choose the best of the rich. And the sheep - the most carnivorous of wolves.

this election is intended to initiate the end of yesterday"s politicians. This election is destined to become the forerunner of the emergence of politicians of tomorrow. We have yet to learn how long it will wither away the old. How viable will the emergent new.

Perhaps we need one more disappointment to learn not to be fascinated. Another trick to gain the ability to believe in ourselves. Another pain to forget how to hate. Another shock to temper his spirit. Another dead end, to finally find a way out.
